FYREWASH® SB is a concentrated cleaning compound designed to clean the compressor section of industrial, marine and aviation gas turbine engines. FYREWASH® SB was the first heavy-duty hydrocarbon solvent-based chemical to be developed specifically for on-line fired wash cleaning of gas turbine compressors.

FYREWASH® SB was the first hydrocarbon solvent-based chemical ever to be created specifically for on-line, fired wash cleaning of any type of industrial, marine or aviation gas turbine compressor.
Other petroleum solvent-based cleaners have come and gone but FYREWASH® SB continues to stand the test of time because it is simply the best degreasing, de-oiling and decarbonising compound there is for cleaning gas turbine compressors. FYREWASH® SB is the best cleaner for compressors which operate in the more heavily polluted industrial environments where water-based detergents are much less effective.
On-line cleaning is normally performed by mixing one part FYREWASH® SB concentrate with 4 parts of water into a stable solution. Distilled water is recommended but good quality demineralized water may also be used if that is acceptable to the engine manufacturer.
The volume of chemical solution needed per wash and the optimum cleaning frequency will depend on the size of the engine, fouling tendency and some other factors. Please consult your Rochem FYREWASH® manual or our technical staff for recommendations.
FYREWASH® SB can be used with any on-line/off-line injection system but for optimum cleaning results and economic usage of chemicals, Rochem offer a full range of patented manual and fully automated atomizing injection systems to suit any engine type.
